IPAD SP1 Defibrillator

The iPAD SP1 defibrillator is deigned with the end user in mind, making it as simple as possible to use.  It’s modern and attractive exterior houses state of the art technology that saves precious seconds when every second counts.  It is a high quality, robust device and yet it is has been well received for its lightweight compactness in comparison to older technology.

In operation, the iPAD SP1 intelligently guides users with a series of  large, clear illustrations which illuminate to emphasise key commands.  This is coupled with calm voice prompts giving instructions at every step.  Importantly, the voice prompts automatically adjust to background noise, up to 90 decibels. This can be crucial when background noise escalates or in challenging environments when sudden cardiac strikes.  Equally, this is has proven useful in a busy training environments.

Should the need arise for a defibrillator to be used on a child, the iPAD SP1 is equipped with pre-connected electrode pads that can be used on both adults and children.  On the front of the device there is a switch.  By simply lifting a clear cover over the switch (designed to prevent accidental switching) the switch can simply be moved across to select “paediatric mode” . This saves the time, worry and  expense of having to change to a different set of pads or adjusting other settings.

Importantly the iPAD defibrillators are fully pad compatible with the defibrillators carried on front line NHS Ambulances.  A simple plug-in adapter saves pad changes when backup arrives.  This improves patient care, saves precious time and saves costs.
