Which Defib is right for you?
The G3 or the G5?
1) Is it important to you that your AED conducts daily tests on the electrodes for expiration as well as their presence and function?
Many other AEDs only test for electrode presence. Testing for electrode presence alone can’t detect critical electrode failures such as if electrode gel has dried out due to age, damage to the electrode wire, or inadvertent tearing of the packing.
Testing for the expiration date of the electrodes ensures you are also alerted when they need replacing. If this is important to you then you need the G5.
2) Would you, your team or potential rescuers benefit from CPR corrective prompts during a rescue?
It is known that high quality CPR improves survival rate from cardiac arrest. The G5 with ICPR feedback device from Cardiac Science provides voice and text corrective prompts ensure correct CPR rate, depth and recoil to AHA/ERC guidelines and helps maintain quality of chest compressions as the rescuer tires.
3) Is more than one language spoken at any time among employees and visitors at your location?
Dual language capability can increase the number of potential rescuers especially in some public settings or in companies where the workforce is made up of different nationalities. With one button, the G5 can switch from main language to alternate language.
4) Warranty -
Cardiac Science is a world leader in personal and public access defibrillators and offers a warranty period of 7 years on the popular Powerheart G3 Elite and 8 years on the Powerheart G5.

4) Do you require a higher dust and water ingress rating?
The G5 is strong enough to pass military standards and has an IP55 rating for protection from dust and water.
